Corporate Community Involvement

Corporate Community Involvement (CCI) is the active partnership projects between a company and/or governments and/or non-profit organizations in the countries and communities where a company operates to strengthen relationships with the community as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) mandate. CCI can mean different things to different companies, ranging from terms such as “community investment” to “community relations” or “community engagement”.

Regardless, they all encompass:

  • Philanthropic (cash) donations;
  • In-kind donations (goods or products);
  • Donation of services (employee time during work-hours), and;
  • Allocated management costs (expertise required to manage and coordinate the program).

Nearly all companies have some sort of community involvement program, employee volunteerism, relationships with community organizations and an appreciation for impact measurement.  Whether it’s an one-off, ad-hoc community program or a strategic, long-term partnership, CCI programs seek to align business priorities and organizational assets with stakeholder expectations.

CBSR applies its knowledge of corporate community involvement, your sector and its stakeholders and your business. As a respected leader in CSR, we understand your business context and can effectively engage with your employees, the community and your partners.
