CSR Assessment
There is a growing imperative for companies to report on their CSR and sustainability practices. A CSR assessment that documents current internal activities against industry CSR practices forms a strong base for reporting and identifies gaps for a more robust CSR program.
Our proprietary CSR assessment tool, the GoodCompany Guidelines, was developed in 2001 in collaboration with leading CSR companies. We continue to update it as we perform CSR assessments with many of our members, adapting them where necessary to reflect industry changes and specific sector requirements.
As part of the CSR assessment, we often work with companies to identify relevant best practices and industry trends. This external perspective helps companies to identify emerging threats and opportunities among competitors.
CBSR advocates a stakeholder approach to CSR. The initial assessment phase is a good opportunity to identify, map and interview key stakeholders as an input into a more formal engagement plan.
With a robust CSR assessment as a base, your organization will have a strong and informed baseline to develop a CSR strategy and implementation plan.
