Supply Chain

As CSR practices become more sophisticated and consumers become more demanding of companies, corporate responsibility for supply chain has increased. Common issues that companies confront include environment, labour, human rights, health and safety and security.

Ethical sourcing, as it is sometimes called, often begins with a robust code of conduct and extends to a CSR program that engages suppliers in an effort to implement the code of conduct through the supply chain.

CBSR assists member companies to identify strategies and tactics to engage their suppliers in order to meet their environmental, social and ethical commitments without compromising their operational needs. Often, we work across industries to address areas of common concern and opportunity.

CBSR uses our expertise and experience in sustainable supply chain management to leverage a company’s ability to make material changes. We identify key elements of a sustainable supply chain framework and strategy based on each organization’s unique needs and values.

We develop solid strategies and tactics within this framework to suggest specific approaches and activities that are needed to support its efforts to engage its suppliers to become more sustainable over time.
